(E) In regulation 4 the words "Registrar of companies"

had the meaning hereby assigned to them and the word "other" were omitted

(F) in sub-clause (A) of regulations 5 before the word "Companies" were inserted the word "China" and the words "Registered under it" were omitted.

(G)

Sub-clause (B) of regulation 5 were omitted and

(H) the modifications numbered (4) and (6) in the schedule were omitted.

Subject to the provisions of regulation 4 of the se regulations from and after the issue of the certificate mentioned in regulation 4 of the said regulations of the colony of Hong Kong

(A) it shall not be necessary for the majority of the directors of a China company which has been given such certificate or for the managing director or any person in any position similar to that of a managing director of such company or for any person exercising general or sub- stantial control of the business of such company to be resident within the limits of the principal order

:

(B) a China company which has been given such certificate shall so long as such certificate is in force remain a China Company for the purposes of the principal order and of the companies ordinance 1932 and

(C) a document may be served on a China company which has been given such certificate either in the manner prescribed by the companies ordinance 1932 or by leaving it at or sending it by post to the name and address of some person resident in China and registered with the registrar of companies as authorised to accept service of process and any notices required to be' served on such company.

4. Nothing in these regulations shall be deemed to prejudice the provisions of the Principal order relating to Hong Kong China companies or the provisions of section 350 of the companies ordinance 1932 or the powers of the Registrar of companies and the Registrar of companies of Hong Kong thereunder.

5. These regulations may be cited as "the China Defence (China companies temporary transfer of registered office) Regulations 1941"
